President Satish K. Tripathi is visiting 20 cities in 20 months to meet with UB alumni and share his vision for the university.

Home > Reaching Others > Alumni > Sharon Bob Young UB alumna Dr. Sharon Bob Young, ’71 and Mr. H Alan Young hosted a Presidential VIP Dinner on October 14, 2011.The dinner was held at The Bombay Club in Washington, DC as part of the UB2020 Presidential Tour to introduce the new UB President, Satish K. Tripathi. This was an opportunity for the president to update VIPs on UB and his vision for the future.
In attendence were UB alumni and spouses, including Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Blitzer, Dr. and Ms. Daniel J. Deutsch, Mr. Joseph P. Esposito, Dr. Allan Gerson, Dr. and Mrs. Barry Glick, Dr. and Mrs. Steven A. Guttenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Kadzik, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Kurin, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Goldstein. The university celebrated Dr. Tripathi’s inauguration as the University at Buffalo’s 15th president on September 23. An internationally known computer scientist, President Tripathi was one of the architects of UB 2020, the plan to accelerate UB’s ascension into the top ranks of US public research universities. Satish has led the university to achieve significant growth in research and scholarly activity, and under his watch, UB has also enhanced the quality of our student body. Dr. Bob Young is a dedicated volunteer in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) and DAC Executive Committee serving as Chairwoman of the Alumni Engagement Committee. She is passionate about promoting and supporting the interests of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
