As a major university, UB touches thousands of lives within the Buffalo community every day, helping to guide the Western New York region toward a brighter future. As a symbol of its commitment to the city of Buffalo, the UB College of Arts and Sciences has established the Bennett High School Access Scholarship Program. This initiative has been led by a member of the College’s Dean’s Advisory Council. This program will be aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for top graduates from Bennett High School to attend the University at Buffalo. There are far too many students who are unable to attend UB due to a gap in funding between what they receive from financial aid sources and the cost of attendance. With the Bennett High School Access Scholarship Program, these exceptional incoming students will receive need-based scholarships covering their unmet need for the cost of in-state tuition, fees, room and board and books and supplies, for four to five years of undergraduate study.
