Dean's Advisory Council Challenge

The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Advisory Council (DAC), a group of alumni volunteers, are putting their money where ther hearts are. The DAC is challenging you to help make your alma mater a world-class institution by providing the philanthropic margin of excellence.

If alumni and friends exceed monies raised last year, the DAC members will match the increase in donations dollar for dollar.  Your gift can support any department, activity or program within the college; this year, the DAC hope that you will give particular consideration to supporting student scholarships and fellowships.

These are a priority because more than half of UB undergraduates require financial assistance in order to continue their class work.  Scholarships change the lives of students, helping them overcome the financial challenges of completing a higher education and putting them on the path of becoming the professionals they want to be.

Fellowships provide an incentive for top-notch graduate students to enroll in our academic departments.  This allows us to become more competitive with other top universities in attracting bright talent from across the country.
