Darryl Raszl
Darryl Raszl
Dr. Darryl L. Raszl is a retired physician (internal medicine and nephrology). Originally from Lockport, NY, Dr. Raszl received his B.A. in Biology from the University at Buffalo in 1965 and subsequently received his M.D. degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1970. He completed three years of internal medicine residency training at the University Hospital in Burlington, VT and in San Francisco at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital. Following this he spent two years in the US Navy Medical Corps, leaving with the rank of LCR. After completing a year of subspecialty fellowship in nephrology at the Pacific Presbyterian Hospital in San Francisco (now California Pacific Medical Center), Dr. Raszl stayed in San Francisco and began a private practice that eventually grew into a group practice with 5 physicians, San Francisco Internal Medicine Associates. He is a former elected Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, San Francisco, where he chaired the Executive Committee, Credentials Committee, Institutional Review Committee and others. He is also a prior member of the Board of Directors, San Francisco Medical Society, where he served as chairman and member of a number of committees. He is a prior chairman of Committee on Pharmacy and Therapeutics of the California Medical Association. He is currently serving on the Saint Francis Homes Board of Directors. Dr. Raszl has received the following awards and honors: New York State Regents Scholarship, Century Club Scholarship, University of Vermont College of Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha, honor medical society, Dr. Julian Park Award, 2009, College of Arts and Sciences, University at Buffalo. He continues to be actively involved with the management of his real estate holdings.
